After delaying a day for honoring a deceased former Prez, on Thursday morning, the Supreme Court will hear oral argument in Gamble v. United States to “separate sovereigns” doctrine providing that different sovereigns can prosecute for the same conduct without violating the Constitution's double jeopardy prohibition.
